Know Before You Play

Mercy & Handicap Rules

The two match rules that kept every frame fair and moving, from the quarter-finals through to the final.

Mercy Rule

The Mercy Rule applies to all grades. A frame is concluded once the score difference reaches or exceeds the following totals and the trailing player comes to the table:

  • Yellow40 Points
  • Green38 Points
  • Brown35 Points
  • Blue34 Points
  • Pink32 Points

The leading player may continue their break. However, if the leading player fouls after exceeding the Mercy Rule threshold, the frame will continue if the trailing player still has enough points available to win.

Handicap

Handicap scores apply as per grades and records of previous matches.

🎱

A big thank you and congratulations to all 8 players who joined the tournament. Your effort, skill, and sportsmanship made this event a great success. We may not have reached our original target of 16 contestants this time, but the tournament was still full of energy, excitement, and great snooker.

We hope this is not our last tournament — we hope to see even more players, bigger competition, and more exciting matches in the future.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the tournament

See You At The Next Tournament 🏆
